Ghosts

This body of work follows the 'Making Sense of It All' series. With an x-ray or ghost-like quality, it whispers of light and secrets beneath the skin. It's about the unseen, a testament to the intricate, fragile beauty within us all.

I continue to use the wingback chair, a piece that once belonged to my grandmother, and the cat, the protagonist, a fragment of my own reflection. These elements help me explore my feelings around family relationships and estrangement.

Playing with negative space and rubbing away parts of the image, this series looks into the hidden corners of the heart, confronting buried emotions, hurt, and anger.

The process of rubbing paint away is meditative, forcing one to sit with the pain and connect with hidden parts of oneself. This series is about silent grace, revealing truths in shades of shadow.
